Actually, Khmer society has never given a value to any woman who smokes cigarrette or cigar and always see the smoker as bad woman. However, because of Seng Theary is American product. So, she is not ashame in smoking cigar and shows in to the public. She is doing everything to get media attention. Shame on her!!!

I agree that men and women are equal. I don't smoke, and I never like anyone who smokes. I always condemned anyone,man or woman, who smokes while giving interview or in official meeting. I feel that this picture is taken in a meeting. I feel that it has bad influence on children. I used to think Theary can be a good role model to Cambodian children, but smoking in that situation is not a good timing. We're progressing, and women can do whatever men can do. However, the timing is not right for anyone to hold a cigar likes that and taking picture. If you follow the republican primacy race in the states, you will see that Herman Cain was forced to condemn smoking after his campaign aired a bizarre ad with his campaign manager smoking.
