Saukam Khoy (February 2, 1915 – November 14, 2008) was Acting President of the Khmer Republic in Cambodia for 12 days in April 1975.

Before becoming President, Saukam Khoy was a senior commander in the army of the Republic and the President of the Senate.[1] He took office on April 1, 1975, when a tearful Lon Nol left 'temporarily' with his entire family for Bali in Indonesia after an invitation from his friend, Indonesian President Suharto.

Khoy's time in office was short. He left Phnom Penh together with American Ambassador John Gunther Dean aboard a CH-53 helicopter during the evacuation of American embassy staff and civilians, dubbed Operation Eagle Pull on April the 12th.

Khoy died at the age of 93 in Stockton, California, United States on November 14, 2008.

General Saukham Khoy was a great soldier, displinarian and loyal to Cambodian causes, spent most of his life fighting against the invasion of the Viet minh and later on came out of retirement to help fight the invasion of the Viet Cong. We have lost a great sildier.

I have listened to radio free ASIA from the bigining and I have found that's, Khmer Radio free ASIA, sound like they under YOURN(viet) presser, they even afraid to call yourn or viet nam when viet nam eggression or do something bad for KHMER PEOPLE, usially radio free ASIA they only call the words foreigner or something else...etc.

WHY??? KHMER RADIO AFRAID YOURN(VIET)BUT THEY GET salary FROM SOMEONE THAT'S NOT VIET ??? the samething with HUNSEN he eating and stealing, rorbing, killing, even borrow several billion us dollars from china and around the world, but he afraid viet and working as viet slave etc, example: he borrow one $$$ billion and he gave 50% to viet his boss

His name is So and last name is Khamkhoy.
In Cambodian we call him So Khamkhoy
and as you live in western country you should call him So, not Khoy.
