Cambodian Embassy in US Collecting for Flood Relief

The Cambodian Embassy in Washington is helping to raise funds for floods victims in Cambodia, following weeks of inundation that has left thousands of families stranded.
At a gathering in Washington Sunday, the embassy collected around $6,500 from some 200 Cambodian-Americans, the ambassador, Hem Heng, told VOA Khmer.
At least 250 people have died in the floods, which began in August and continued through September. The floods hit 17 provinces, covering some 400,000 hectares of rice fields and causing many to be evacuated to higher ground.
“They face a lot of shortages, and, most importantly, infectious diseases are worrisome,” Hem Heng said. “In the immediate future, they will need food, shelter and healthcare.”
The embassy will continue to take donations, he said. “I would like to appeal to all Cambodian-Americans to contribute as much as you can to help the victims of these severe floods, which have never happened before in our history.”

Decho Hun Sen, Mr Sam Rainsy asked you to sue him at a French court about your murders of the Khmer people. Why don't you dare to do it as you have done at the Cambodian court?
Being a strong man as well as a Prime Minister of one country, you should not be coward to face the real justice at a French court or International court. Unless, you are the real murderer in Cambodia that is the reason why you fear Mr Sam Rainsy at a real and fair justice court.

Whoever donates money to Hem Heng are only CPP supporters and Hem Heng will pocket all the donations in his bank account. I rather donates my money with Sam Rainsy, not CPP. I walked passed this stupid ambassador in the Harvet Moon restaurant in Virginia, but I don't give a shit with this stupid guy. What kind of credential he has to be appointed as ambassador.
Where are all Ongya and Ek Oudom who have million of dollars and made profit from Khmer blood. They should donate their money to help Khmer people.
Your money will be honored for your master, Hun Sen and Bunrany. Hem Heng will tell the poor Khmers that this is a gift and donation from Hun Sen and Bunrany, not from American/Cambodian.
Keep donates via Hem Heng and the credit will go to Hun Sen.
I rather donate my money to foreign charities or International Red Cross rather to Cambodian government associated people. Those official are famous for corruption and I really don't think that my donation through those people will reach the Cambodian people in need.
I know there are victims out there that need help urgently. And we shouldn't politicize the issue. BUT the donation will help the CPP more than the victims. There are lots of money stolen from the nation's resources, and there are lots of crook business men in Cambodia. They should help those flood victims to redeem themselves.
You just watch the Cambodian TVs.....you'll see they're going on and on about the aids hand out and boosting the CPP and Bun Rany Hun Sen is the only savior/helper in this crisis. It's a shame and sad really.
Calling out to all Khmer. Please stop donating to Cambodian organization!! You are only supporting Hun Sen and his comrades. If you want to see real changes and real democracy, please stop sending donors and aids, as CPP will pocket everything and leave very little for the real victim.
Everyday, Opposition parties are crying out for help, everyday, their cries are being silent by the Ruling government, forced into prison and forced into exile.
So please, stop sending in AIDS to CPP, Hor Nam Hong and Bun Rany!! They are the thief of the nation, the murderers of the real Khmer, and the Culprit behind all the crimes!!
Please go to Khmer, and really find out how the CPP really uses those money to help themself!
