Even though the CPP ruled Cambodia for more than 30 years already, when it comes time to show what this party has done to bring progress to the country and the people, all that they can do is to compare the situation to the KR regime.
Once again, in a speech given during the distribution of diplomas to students from the Vanda accounting institute this morning, Hun Xen said: “Because the country is developed and it has political stability, just inside Phnom Penh nowadays, there are 230,000 cars and more than 900,000 motorcycles…”
Hun Xen went on to talk about economic progress that was brought about by export of Cambodian products, such as rice and rubber etc… However, he forgot to talk about the sale of hills, the sale of sea waters, the sale of Cambodian mineral extracts to foreign merchants, he did not elaborate about the use of these sale proceeds to enrich a small group of leaders, nor did he talk about the use of these proceeds to buy luxury cars that cost tens of thousands of dollars each so that they can be used to boast the empty development in Cambodia.
Nevertheless, opposition and civil society officials indicate that Cambodia’s economy is still below the poverty line where the average income of the people remains at or below $1 per day. When compared to progress in other countries in the world, at this moment in time, some places in Cambodia currently fare even worse than under the crazy Khmer Rouge regime!

Hun Sen is losing some screws in his head like Qadhafi.
Cambodia is not going to be any better under any regime. We have not had good leadership for at least the past 80 years and we never will. We have gone through wars, starvations, genocides, communism, fake democracy, fake kingdom, and dictatorship; basically all the bad things could happen to a country has happened in Cambodia. We are always under the control of foreigners and unfortunately, it's not going to change anytime soon.
Cambodia has not had any goodleader for hundreds years and its leaders had never signed any contracts or treaties to give land ,sea and some islands and allow Vietnamese people come to settle in Cambodia as current leader has done .....sic!!!!! Haven't you ..ah le'v ?
Samdeh Hun Sen, please tell Vietnamese-Youn to leave Cambodia. They came to live freely in our country and plan to take over Cambodia. You are Khmer, you should look into this. I hope Hun Sen's friend would read my comment.

Do you know that most of the past Cambodia leaders were Chinese/Khmere ???
When some went wrong, you don't hear the word Chinese attached to the leader's name. You only hear Khmere leaders, why is that ???

How do you measure success in Cambodia ????
Here are some measurement that I can think of. Let see if we can agree on this measurement.
1. Number of new building that were built.
2. Number of new roads.
3. Number of new schools.
4. Number of millionair.
5. Number of people who own the villa.
6. Number of people who own cars.
7. The nation GDP.
8. Number of wives that each man can affort.
9. Number of population.
10. Electricity/Clean Water availability.
These are just the few that I come up with.
You can measure it from 1979- Present !!!

All past and present leaders of Cambodia are Cambodians. Don't use ethnicity for Cambodia's problems. If you blame the Cambodia Chinese or the Cambodia Vietnamese, you fail to see you are the problem. Let's look at what are the main problems for Cambodia: Corruption, Low education, Laziness, Everyone want to be government officer, enrich oneself first, not ashame of on welfare, depent others or King's help, and always blame others.
Response to 11:04 in addition millions Vietnamese people in Cambodia,1.2billions international aid per year,more than five millions have been lost by corruption every year,hundreds millions loan from overseas every year, thousands familes have been evicted from their places and billions dollars of high officers in foreigner banks......they are just summerized .if they use that money to built country I think there will be a lot skyscrapers blooming in phnom penh and modern highways spreading everywhere in country to your house step as well.
Over five hundred million dollars of national income have been stolen by corrupted government officers evryyear.
Many generations Chinese came to live in Cambodia but I rarely heard they disturb khmer people .they come to make bussiness which help to improve khmer economic and Chinese people had been here for long time n they become cabodian.they share sorrow n hapiness with Khmer in any circumstances but they have never robbed Khmerland ,sea n boder .in contrary Vietnamese have come to Cambodia in ambitious purpose.they want to control khmer .ex the first of all they came to Prey nokor to do the farm ,fishing,business in temperary but they tried to strengthened their asociations to conquer Cambodia land .Vietnam keeps doing thatway until now never changed.then it swallowed khmer krom now it is trying to do curent Cambodia.it is historical enemy of Khmer.I don't mean I racist but the history tell khmer to be high alert with Vietnam in anycircumstances.
