I totally agree with all of the above posts. After 3 million death and stupid people stlll find ways to mourn for him. Makes me sick! I have one wish, to banish this monarchy to ever exist again.This monarchy is a curse for Srok khmer and if Khmer leaders are smart, they should exile them ASAP after the death of this king ta and say to the country and nation "BE CLEAN" the evil leader is gone and so as his bloodline killers and would say to the 3 million souls "RIP for justice is done" as to this whole monarchy is gone for good. I heard a lot of old fool said this traitor King help Vietcong because Ho Chi Minh promised him to give him back Kampuchea Krom.
I said, what if we help American fight against the Vietcong, is it easier to get back Kampuchea Krom.
Now not only this traitor King ruin Cambodia, he also make Kampuchea Krom people sufferd, because of his power ambitions just like Ah Hun Shit.

I think it is just a good excuse for kingta in saying that the VC would give khmer krom back. I think a lot to do with holding onto power because by 1970, Kingta saw that VC was getting strong for the US to challenge with and also he was a very afraid that they could take over the whole Cambodia too. So, he decided to be with the VC as the VC promissed him to still be king and leader of cambodia and if kingta be on their side. At the sametime, he was being manipulated by the VC saying that the US would dimolish the monarchy Cambodia. Nevertheless, kingta had the chance to destroy the VC if he agreed to be with the US...what a stupid king he was. His only thought was to stay in power and did not think about the consequence of the whole country and nation. Big mistake, VC ended up betrayed kingta and killed almost all of his people. How sad it is for him to trust outsiders.

Cambodia . Sihanouk must pay gratitude to China ; as long as Hun Sen has support
one China policy , Sihanouk supported Hun Sen even though the later cut Khmer
land for Yuons . Burma just got rid of China yoke , Cambodia must wake up
and be independent !

Yes, you are right! the more kingta tried to save his monarchy the more he lost it, which is good but how sad it is for our 3 million innocent souls who had died horribly while kingta in the end, died peaceful in a nice palace type. Nevertheless, I believe justice will be done on earth and in heaven. For now, heaven will judge him according to his works. As for the 3 million souls, may you all rest in peace for the wicked leader is already gone but not forgotten about how he treated all of us as the khmer citizens. It was like black is white and white is black but at least we know now about what people are capable off. In the future, before choosing someone to be our leader, we must look into their background, e,g, their parents and their education and their expertise etc....
