Commentary
If you don't know the true truth, you'll never know how to escape the tyrannical rule of the unseen powers that control virtually every government of all nations. I,m not refering to God but the one who opposes God, HaSatan. The true truth can only be discover in the written Word of God, the Bible.
The God of the Bible is for everyone not only for the true Jews.
But this Proverb is probably refering to the first 5 books of the Bible, the foundation for all good things in life.

Commentary
In Genesis 9,10. We see God made a Rainbow Covenant with mankind after the Flood. Only eight people survived the Flood and there were no strange gods in the midst of them, only the True and Living God who saved them from annihilation by his Great Judgment of the wicked. All human beings descended from the three sons of Noah after the Flood, Shem, Ham and Japhet.
By this truth I know that our fathers of old believed in the ONE true God and that he has made a Covenant with us. But we have broken his covenant by worshipping other gods. Therefore we have brought about our own curses throughout our generations.
It's was about 300 years after the Flood that men started to rebel against Yaweh. Started with a guy named, Nimrod--a mighty hunter. From ancient history he was part god/human. In the Greek mythology, he was known as, Hercules. In ancient Egyptian he was known as, Sirius. In Sumerian, he was known as, Gilamesh. Same REBEL. He was a giant in stature, pehaps 12ft tall. What this mean is that he was hybred by a Nephilim (fallen angel).

Commentary
How do we define righteousness? Simple answer is by the written Word of God. Especially as define in the first 5 books of Moses, Genesis through Deuteronomy. In the Hebraic mindset is call the Torah, books of instruction.
I know issues in Cambodia are complex. But SIN is the forefront of it all. Sin brings spiritual blindness. This will affect the natural realm of our every day lives. Nations have broken God's Rainbow Covenant and has brought disgrace upon themselves.
"Hear, O Israel (Nations): the LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shall love the LORD (Yaweh) thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Remember, the nations that forget God shall be turned into hell.

Cambodian people are being put in prison for knowing or conscience. If you don't want to be put in prison you have to be stupid or pretend you are stupid; more like you are in the Khmer Rouge regime. Hun Sen's mind is not much different from that era. He is pretty much a communist person. We can tell it because of the way he is ruling the country. He limits Cambodian people ability to grow... to defend their land and country... the fight for their rights... with abusive reactions or put them in jail... Cambodians have suffered enough from their leaders.... it is above time that they would them strive to their potentials.
