It appears that (Samdech Hun Sen) he is thinking about creating a law to protect politicians. This is wonderful. Politicians in Cambodia are under tremendous oppression ( the world will continue to laugh at Cambodia's incompetency and wonder at their creative abilities to find ways to further oppress her people).
Politicians are suffering from criticisms? Give us a break. This simply shows how backward thinking Khmer leaders are if members of parliament are agreeing with this idea.
And I bet you by this moment, some buttock kissers in our parliament already hard at work at creating a framework for this type of legislation. As soon as the prime minister says jump, they simply there to please, “Samech just say how high and it is done.” This is, by the way, a very efficient government. The US and other free world would take months ,if not year, to debate on any legislation. But that how democracy works.
A democratic government exists to serve and to protect the people not the other way around.
I am just glad that I am lucky enough to observe this from afar.
