Am Khmer and have not Viet-blood, but I will not call someone in this KI as Viets, because I don't have the right to call other as Viet or Viet slave.

Allow me to clarify about these comments above as follows, and inject my opinions from the history.
(1) This 10:40pm defends Hun Sen and Bun Samhieng, his wife who run Cambodia by a strong support from the Vietnamese.
This 10;40pm even further claimed "During the Khmer Empire period, our ancestors also have to fight for a democracy for our country and it was not granted by someone or by the white people."
My comments/Answer: The ancestors of Khmer Empire was a noble with a real royal blood jailed in "Java" during Javanese Invasion (Khmers vs. Javanese) (Indonesia), then later he returned to his homeland. He was the one who united all Khmers and united all small nations near by, and he created his Khmer Empire, he took the name of Jayavaraman II(2).
He was not only a greatest unifier, he worshiped GOD the creator through Brahmanism/Hinduism. He made his Empire to becoming a mighty wealthy and powerful nation with a powerful army. From reading the history and trying to analyzing his reign/rule, Jayavaraman 2 was a tyrant and a butcher, but he made his nation wealthy and powerful with a strong army. About 600 years the empire was wealthy and powerful, even if the new comers: T'ais(Siem)and Annamese(Yuon) came near by.
Until a new ruler named Jayavaraman VII(7), he adopted a new religion called Buddhism, and the Buddhism was legally declared as a state religion in late 13th century, Khmer Empire declined both Economy and Military defense, then later collapsed.
The questions to many new generation like myself asking "Why Jayavaraman adopted the foreign Weakest Religion (Buddhism) while enemies are surrounding the empire???"
Without the French came and saved, Cambodia would have become Cham. Because Cambodia was already parts of Viets and T'ais.
Now why would you think or believe that the way Khmers are united with each other would help your goal to reach the democracy, while Viets are every where in Cambodia?

The truth is khmers did not kill khmers, it was the work of the outsiders and traitor crooks alone, e,g they created Pol Pot to fight against Lon Nol/Sirik Matak (Pro-US) and they created Hun Sen to fight against Pol Pot and then, they went on to say 'khmers killed khmers', it is also known as 'killling two birds with one stone'. In the end they said, khmers are dumb, stupid and lazy while they continue to steal, rob and kill us khmers, dispite the rule of law 'they shall not steal and kill'. So, who is the stupid ones here?
Today, everyone already knows about their wicked action, so, how do you feel being caught red-handed? of course worst then animals, because even animals know right from wrong. e.g even dog knows it own owner and property and what about them crooks, huh! no word can describe, really. Why did a very powerful and wealthy Khmer Empire change the religion (from Brahmanism/Hinduism to Buddhism) when Thais and Annamese were coming?

Jayavarman VII did not introduce Buddhism but his son Indravarman II did. Great Buddhist countries are Japan, Korea, Taiwan and so on...
The lack of spiritual thriving has nothing to do with Buddhism let alone Theravada or Hinayana. The culprit may be the lack of right transmission from the Acharya.
