The number of lawsuits to demand compensations back from the Long Chhin Resorts Company sent to the Kandal province municipal court, has increased to almost 60 now. The court has not issued any rulings on any of these lawsuits yet. A source from Kandal provincial court indicated that the amount of compensations claimed by all these lawsuits has increased to almost $2 million. Among all these claims made against the Long Chhin Company, the government lawsuit was the first one lodged with the court. The same source indicated that among all the claims, the court only dealt with the government lawsuit by charging Su Si Minh, president of the Long Chhin Company, with cheating and falsifying public documents. As for all the other lawsuits, the court did not do anything with them at all, so far.

The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported that during a period of only one week, the number of lawsuits against the Long Chhin Company has increased by 10 more. Until now, this company is faced with 47 lawsuits demanding damage compensation totaling about $1 million. A court clerk at the Kandal provincial tribunal told Rasmei Kampuchea that, in less than one month, the court has already received 47 lawsuits against the Long Chhin Company. However, for all these lawsuits, the judge did not look into them yet, nor did he summon the defendants for questioning on these cases, The court is waiting to receive all the complaints first before looking into them. The court clerk said that the majority of the victims who have bought lands and houses from the Long Chhin Co. live in Phnom Penh. Each complaint demands a damage compensation of no less than $30,000.

People who bought lands in the Kob Srov Lake from the Long Chhin Company, which the government accused of illegally filling the lake, have sued in court to demand back their money from this company. The Cambodia Daily reported that 25 people have sent in their complaints to the Kandal provincial court, suing the Long Chhin company of cheating them by selling them illegal lands, and they also demanded that the company owner be brought to face justice and return back their money. Phok Mara, president of the Kandal province court, said that the court is considering these cases. Nuth Sa An, under-secretary of state of the Ministry of Interior, told The Cambodia Daily on Tuesday that the government plans to sue the Long Chhin company also. He said that the government will sue this company, but it wants the people to sue this company first. The Long Chhin company cannot be contacted to obtain comments.
