The bottom left photo shows widow Pav Tol indicating her husband recent grave.
Now that she is not chronically short of food following the different humanitary reliefs provided, widow Pav Tol whose husband has recently died, is wracked by grief for her husband, Yem Onn, who she says, would still be alive if only he'd had enough to eat. "Before he died, he asked me to find a bowl of rice for him," she said Monday as she stood next to the 60-year-old's freshly dug grave. "But I could not find [one]". Yem Onn, like several others inTa Moeun village and neighboring Sangriem Bo village, died in recent weeks of illnesses villagers said Monday were related to hunger. The starvation suffered by the Kampong Speu villagers are eerily remiscent of life under the Khmer Rouge Pol Pot regime.
