Prince Norodom Ranariddh, leader of the FUNCINPEC PARTY, and Prime Minister Hun Sen, of the Cambodian People's party (CPP) for the first time communicate telephonically Thursday evening after both leaders have a fallout due to political conflict.

This conversation occurs after Mr. Hun Sen returns home from his state visit to South Korea.

Both parties' high ranking officials told VOA that the FUNCINPEC party high ranking officials say that Mr. Hun Sen told the prince that the Cambodian government has a plan to reform some structures in the government, and that the prime minister told the prince that the government abolishes four government official's positions.

According to the CPP officials, unofficially, prince Ranariddh has a proposal for Mr. Hun Sen, not to criticize him using character attack. It is not known who was the person to call first.
