Another facade dressing for anti-corruption law by Phnom Penh

Cambodian Deputy PM receives senior IMF official

Phnom Penh, May 4 (VNA) – Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sok An met with Jeremy Carter, visiting chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s Asia Pacific Department, in Phnom Penh on May 3.

Their talks focused on a draft law on anti-corruption, oil exploration and public administration reform in Cambodia, the Cambodian News Agency (AKP) reported.

The draft law on anti-corruption is now being reviewed by the Cambodian Ministry of Justice, Deputy PM Sok An said, adding that the law will then be submitted to the cabinet members and to the National Assembly for approval.

Deputy PM Sok An also informed the IMF official of the country’s public administration reform, stressing that the Cambodian Government does its utmost to develop in all fields for the benefit of the people and the nation, according to the AKP.-Enditem
