Gov't Shutters Rubber Plant In Ratanakkiri

Minister of Agriculture Chan Sarun on Tuesday ordered the closure of a newly established Vietnamese-owned rubber tree processing factory in Ratanakkiri province, saying workers had been cutting down trees on state-owned land without permission.
In a written order, Chan Sarun demanded that the Hoang Thang Company immediately remove equipment from the site in Banlung district where it has been operating.
The ministry's rubber plantation department issued a report on May 17 stating that the company, which opened in April, had been cutting down old rubber trees without permission from the ministry. Investigators visiting the plant had found one machine for refining trees, 10 sawmills and 100 rubber trees that had been illegally cut down, the report stated.
The company requested permission to process rubber trees from Ratanakkiri Governor Muong Poy, who agreed on April 20, according to the report, though it added that the Agriculture Ministry's approval was needed.
Muong Poy said the company had never received his permission. "The Agriculture Ministry closed it. It did not have a license at all," he said.
Hem Sophal, a member of the Agriculture Ministry's rubber plantation registration committee, said the factory was built on more than three hectares of rubber plantation in La Bansiek commune.
An unnamed RCAF official representing the company could not be contacted for comment Tuesday. However, the Agriculture Ministry report quoted the military officer as saying in a meeting that the company had received permission from veteran CPP lawmaker Bou Thang, who represents Ratanakkiri.
Contacted by telephone, Bou Thang said he had suggested that the Hoang Thang Company cut down old rubber trees on privately owned land, not on a state-owned plantation. He added that he was opposed to the closure of the company and was working to bring the company into compliance with the law. "I do not agree with this closure," he said, adding that he now planned to bring the matter to the attention of Prime Minister Hun Sen.

the real holders of Cambodia life today is not Hun Sen.
Boo Thang, Poo Thang, Meas Sophea, Tea Banch, Hok Lundy, Soa Sokha, and others officers in Royal Army and Royal Police forces are originated from Viet Name!!!!!!!
Bou Thang is a Vietcong among Cambodian people. I always learn new things about all these Vietcong in Cambodia and they are fuken brave and very blunt about what they want from Cambodian people! I suggest these Vietcong better fuk off! After the United Nations trial is over and there will be an open hunting season on these Vietcong! The only good Vietcong is a dead Vietcong!
This Viet Cong is BIG, he controle 1/4 of your today Cambodia! He cotrole Hun Sen Too! He may be Khmer Loeu, but the deffected one just like Hun Sen.
They may hunt you!
All this is about is one guy didn't get paid while the other did. so he pull rank...
it has nothing to do with "doing the right thing".
It doesn't matter what this is really about. But it matter what this exposes about the Cambodian power structure.
This re-affirm the fact that Cambodia contrary to what is said and accepted by international community, is still under colonization and direct control by government of Hanoi. As we can see, a government official who had direct link to the Hoang Thang Company itself stepping in to try to save the company- Bou Thang.
The truth is, the Cambodian national assembly (especially member of the CPP) isn't really made of Cambodian nationals. At least it seem so on appearances. But it'ss really made of off powerful foreign official like Mr. Thang, Mr. Nam Hong, and others who have powerful and rich family back home in another country that can easily take advantage of Cambodia's natural resources at will because these people can secure them such activities.
Every day for Khmer it become clearer who really is in control of Khmer. It may take a while to wake up, but they will wake up again. If true independence isn't granted for khmer, ay, I do for Cambodian lives, as there maybe another war for Cambodia. All nationals will enlist and everyone will die defending the beloved country. It will be such a waste of lives. This foreign country is going to be so happy it will use it as another propaganda war of racial hatred of Cambodians and turn side of international community against Cambodia's fight for true Independence.
Cambodia will lose and this country will again directly invade Cambodia. This time, for "stability" sake it will stay permanently to maintain order of it's little vassal because it will present itself as a brother or sister nation to Cambodia to help it stabilized, or if not, it will leave behind important public officials that are just plainly in public view, not secretly like the war before. This time everyone will know them, and everyone will applaud them for their efforts to bring stability in Cambodia. The truth will be blind.
The way I lead my life is dangerous already and I welcome these Vietcong to hunt me down!ahahah
Their tricks get clearer in Cambodia mind!!!!
