PHNOM PENH, May 11 (AFP): Japanese trading house Mitsui and Company said Thursday it would set up an energy joint venture in Cambodia, eyeing potential for the kingdom's oil-and-gas rich waters.
Cambodia Project Planning Development Management, a venture between Mitsui and Cambodian National Petroleum Authority, will start operations next month with plans to build oil refinery plants, Mitsui said.
"Mitsui holds a 60 per cent stake in the venture with the rest held by the Cambodian firm. The venture is capitalized at 200,000 dollars.
Mitsui runs an oil exploration project off the coast of Cambodia with US energy giant Chevron.

I remember the Japanese allied themselves with Germany (Hitler)in WWII to kill Jewish people and taking over Europe. ahahahah...The above fool fail to see the big picture! Every Cambodian want to see progress and development in Cambodia but at what cost? Cambodian economy claimed to grow at the 13% in 2005. This is the fastest growing economy in the world but yet Cambodian people still remain the poorest in the world! Cambodian people are falling deeper and deeper into poverty!How can this be? Not only that more Cambodian people are being evicted from their land and make way for big business! The above fool know so much and I suggested that he should ask DR. HUN SEN!ahahha

The fool above said nothing is free but Cambodia under King Sihanuok forgave the Jap's war debt. The Jap is doing the same thing in return! The Jap pretending to help Cambodia with small brigdes and roads building but their main goal is to maintain AH HUN SEN in power by any mean necessay? while benefit million and million of dollar in return! Most Cambodian like you see developement in Cambodia as progress but I see the developement in Cambodia as exploitation because if it is progress then Cambodian people should be better off or benefit by now and not falling deeper and deeper into poverty!If the Jap did everything in Cambodia in the name of altruism and I wouldn't say a damn word!
