More than 300 people participated in a conference in Phnom Penh on Tuesday to demand that Vietnam recognize the Khmer population of southern Vietnam, a territory once known to Cambodians as Kampuchea Krom, as the area's indigenous people and not an ethnic minority.
Representatives from more than 20 Khmer Krom NGOs took part, said Khmer Kampuchea Krom Coordination Committee Executive Director Kem Vann Chheng. "We are not an ethnic minority, we are the indigenous people and we have the history to prove it," Kan Vann Chheng said. In a bid to strengthen their call for the proper recognition by Vietnam of the original Khmer inhabitants of Kampuchea Krom, a mass congress of Khmer Krom will be held in Cambodia, Kem Vann Chheng said.
Khmer Krom groups in Cambodia are also supporting, but are not involved with, a recent move by more radical and politicized Khmer Krom groups in the US who earlier this month declared a transitional government in exile who claim suzerainty over Kampuchea Krom. The groups also elected a prime minister of Kampuchea Krom. Interior Ministry spokesman Khieu Sopheak said that Cambodians regard the Kluner Krom as their relatives, but that under the Constitution the country is not allowed to interfere in the affairs of another country.

Since centuries, No khmer leaders have been interested of the fate of Khmer kampuchea krom.
Now all patriot khmers, we have the obligation to support Khmers krom .
Don't be indifferent of their fate. We will risk soon to undergo the same fate as them. Help them as we can!
I don't give a fuck about these what these Vietcong or Hun Sen government want with the Khmer Krom. The Vietcong don't have much option when dealing with the Khmer Krom issues! These Vietcong can recognize the Khmer Krom right now or recognize the Khmer Krom later. They know that they can't escape the reality that the Khmer Krom have the same right as any human being.

In this modern century, we find all western powers who used colonised countries around the world, have already give up their illegal occupation and have given full independent to the local people. I believe Vietnam need also to learn this lesson from many others countries if Vietnam want to join other for the development of her own country and people. The colonisation of Vietnam in Kampuchea krom, has created a lot of sufferings to the local and have destroyed a lot of their local historic land mark which Vietnam must have to repay back witha high price. Khmer Krom need to have their own governemnt and need their independent so their destiny can be determinded by themselve not by colonised government. Vietnam is not a super power, therefore, their occupation in khmer krom can only to deplete khmer resource and khmer krom wealth. WE call governemnt around the world to press Vietnam to give up their illegal occupation. IN the past, all governemnt around the world have expressed their support to Vietnam for her independent, now Vietnam has suppressed Khmer Krom, we call the same governement to support Khmer Krom and call Vietnam to respect Khmer Krom integrity and khmer krom independent.
The Khmers Kroms are Khmer. They are ABORIGINES in Kampuchea Krom.
All the part of the south Viet Nam ( Cochinchine ) belongs to Kampuchea Krom.
So that the Khmer Kroms struggle to CLAIM the territory occupied by Viet Nam

The light at the end of a dark tunnel is slowly piercing through. You do your part to fight while we do our part to fight to achieve the same ultimate goal, to free Kampuchea Krom. We are the amplifier of your crying voice. All Khmer around the world must help our Khmer Krom brothers and sisters to be free from the oppression of Hanoi and reunite all Khmer to become strong like we once were. We fell and hit the ground hard because we we devided and seperared.
Jayavarman II of Kampuja broke away from the oppression of the Java Empire and created a mighty Khmer Empire, keep that in mind as a strength to fight my fellow Khmers.
It's amazing that we are all sreaming and hurting so badly that we could just die and we don't!.
You know what I know, The Vietcong says nothing, see nothing and there is no human right office in Vietnam or is it?

If we had it our way, " yes" all of us would storm in Hun Sen's office and kick him out, unfortunately, we can't do that, all of us would be kill. There are more than one way to fight. At this time, we can only cry and scream out to the world to get notice to help.
Khmer Krom People must know today who is the biggest brother in asia. If all the so-called leadership have ignored this reality, then khmer krom will find very hard to recover your independent. China and India are the big brothers in the region. They are not really good friends to vietnam because Vietnam has ignored them before. So Khmer Krom leaders must work with all powers in the region. USA is only interesting oil and minerals. USA will not play any game without any return. They left Cambodian to be slaughted by Khmer Rouge during 1975-1979. They will do again.

Kambuja(Kampuchea)was a new name for land Chanla and water Chanla(Funan, todays southern Cambodia and Kampuchea Krom) Kambuja was influenced and controlled by Java/Malay. Java/Malay also influenced Champa.
In 802A.D, Jayavarman II broke free from Java/Malay and created a nation later know as Khmer empire. I guess we can say, Jayavarman II was our founding father. Anyway, We Khmer are the descendents of Funan, Chanla, Kambuja, and possibly some Malay bloodlines, and not to mention Indian, in all of us. Khmer constantly at war with Champa because Champa was
Java/Malay's little buddy. Sometime later, we all know quite well what happened to that kingdom.
What is the point I'm getting at? History tends to repeat itself, at least it seems like it with Cambodia. It is and was the oppression one nation over another nation that lead to its extinction, rises, and falls. Will we Khmer still exist or will we be extince and what will be the next new nation of Cambodia? It is up to this generation and the next to make that decision. When the decision is made, then we/they should know what to do. LONG LIVE KHMER!!!!
Yes one of our king came back from Java to renunite 3 Chenla, but Java never controled us, Java cuture are more take from us then we take from them. only the Thai histiry would like to say Java is the original civilization not us.
