Cambodia to restore national railway network

Phnom Penh (VNA) - The Cambodian Government plans to restore the national railway network, according to Cambodian Minister of Public Works and Transportation Sun Chan Thol.

He made the remark at a recent meeting with visiting General Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rajat Nag, whose visit to Cambodia was aimed at discerning the Cambodian Government's stance to rehabilitation of the country’s railway network.

Thol was quoted by the Cambodian News Agency (AKP) as saying that the ministry is preparing to formulate a national strategic plan on land routes, waterways, airways and railways that will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval.-Enditem
