Phnom Penh (VNA) - Cambodian Information Minister Khieu Kanharith expressed his hope that media agencies of Viet Nam and Cambodia will continue helping each other in techniques, professional experiences and human resources training.
Receiving General Director of the Radio Voice of Viet Nam (VOV) Vu Van Hien in Phnom Penh on June 15, the Cambodian Minister spoke highly of cooperation between the Radio National of Kampuchea (RNK) and VOV and thanked VOV for its help to RNK in the recent past.
He informed Hien and his delegation that RNK will restore its daily broadcasting programme in the Vietnamese language for between 30-60 minutes.
The VOV delegation held a working session with their Cambodian counterparts, led by RNK Director General Tan Yan, the same day. General Director Vu Van Hien affirmed that VOV is willing to cooperate and help RNK under a cooperation document signed in 2005 and within the framework of the two governments' cooperation programmes.
The two sides also agreed to promote the exchange of reporters, technicians, and professional experiences as well as help each other in technical facilities.
The VOV delegation is scheduled to conclude its working visit to Cambodia on June 18.-Enditem

Is there a media outlet in Khmerlanguage in Kampuchea Krom?
I don't disagree with youn having their own radio show in Cambodia. But it should be a private broadcasting, not on goverment station channel. It is contradictory and stab in Khmer 's back.
Khmer Krom have radio but are used for the propaganda of the Communist Regime reporting whatever it wants. In essence it's more like a news translation sometimes. When I went back to Khmer krom I didn't hear any radio broadcast.
It is wrong that Vietnam secures it's free radio broadcast in Cambodia yet does not allow khmer in Vietnam to broadcast with independent material in Vietnam. Wrong! Wrong!
