Prince Thomico To Launch Party Next Month

Prince Sisowath Thomico will launch his new broad-coalition political party next month, and will start by incorporating into it the ultra-nationalist Khmer Front Party and the fringe Khmer Unity Party.
The prince declined to reveal the name of the new party, but said it will take the ideology of retired King Norodom Sihanouk and the Sangkum Reastr Niyum as the basis of its political platform.
"I plan to form the party and make it happen by July. We will discuss first the establishment of the steering committee and executive committee. From there, we will begin working on our cause step by step," he said at his office at the Royal Palace.
Despite the ideological link to Norodom Sihanouk, the party will not be named after the retired King or use his image on its logos, Prince Thomico said.
He added that he plans to leave his position as a member of the Royal Palace cabinet once the party is formed.
Speaking at the Government-Private Sector Forum, Prime Minister Hun Sen said he welcomed any new parties, adding that they will be able to compete on an equal footing in Cambodian politics.
"I heard about the formation of the People Power Party and another party and I welcome them," he said, before reeling off a list of famous international football stars. "Everyone can compete," he said.
Sam Rainsy Party lawmaker Eng Chhay Eang said Prince Thomico has the right to form a party, but he said that if it wants to win an election it will need human resources and financial backing.
"It’s not easy," he said.

I am OK that polotical party ( not a political party ) will be a "impossible mission" party, because Cambodia people is tired of ROYALIST Party especially nasty royal family.
King Father does only make Cambodia situation trouble. Please stop that, king Father. It is not your return to Cambodia for two months for do that.

As I said earlier, the Prince would have every chance to succeed because of his namesake. Remember that the so called Put Tumneay , certain Preah Bat Thommik will come to pass as the Saviour of KAMPUCHEA.Kampuchea will rise by Him.
But I have also said that the hurdles before him are immense in order to succeed. Those hurdles are in the person of Sihanouk , because:
(1) Sirik Matak, Sihanouk's greatest enemy, was Sisowath Thommico's uncle. Sihanouk's feeling toward nephew of Sisowath Sirik Matak can never be a clear cut because of his well known vindictiveness as manifest in all his annotations in his website.
(2) Sihanouk body's and langauge attitude is clearly subserviant to Hun Sen. He clearly claimed that he owed everything to Hun Sen. Therefore he will do everything to consolidate the position of Hun Sen in order to save himself and his other interests.
(3) Sihanouk has had no love for the Sisowath Branch.
( Remember that Sihanouk has opposed the crowning of his late Mother Sisowath KOSSAMAK as Titular QUEEN of Cambodia and instead gave her the title of Guardian of the THRONE. In so doing the Queen was made the keeper of the Royal Palace without any power and at the same time Sihanouk kept all the POWER of HEAD OF STATE.
Come on Thomico!!! you must prove that your grand parent'spirit is very strong. He will help you to overcome to all obstacles. If you are working towarding national interest, everyone will be behind you. God Bless you.
