Chapter 2
* The main “favorite topic” of Sisowath Thomico was the Issue of territorial integrity (land and maritime) of our Cambodia.
It is possible, if not probable, that Thomico’s Party will use for “its political struggle,” this “favorite topic”; however, as Thomico is neither [French General] “Bonaparte” nor [Emperor] “Napoleon I,” one needs not be a “Nostradamus” [a fortune teller] to predict that my nephew and dear adopted son will never meet his “Austerlitz” [translation note: Austerlitz saw Napoleon’s greatest victory against Austria and Russia] but [that he will meet his] “Waterloo” [translation note: Waterloo saw the final military defeat of Napoleon].
* Thomico’s Party will talk and write abundantly about the S.R.N. (Sangkum Reastr Niyum, 1955-1969).
Unfortunately, the S.R.N. ideology, ideals, and rules are not applicable … and outdated for the Present as well as for the Future.
The SRN’s integral nationalism is outdated. “Cambodia helps herself on her own” is not doable. The fight against Corruption in not only counter-intuitive and nonsense at the current time, but it was, without contest, the origin of the anti-Sihanouk, anti-Khmer Monarchy, anti-SRN coup d’état [perpetrated] by the Lonnolians, Sirimatakians, and other Putschists and supporters of the March 18, 1970 Putsch.
My dear Thomico must know that the SRN-style Nationalism, and the SRN-style ‘Cambodia helps herself on her own’ are dead and can never be resuscitated. The Internationalism and the extraordinary aids from the World Bank and the rich and neo-Imperialist Foreign Powers are the rule in our country. Funcinpec members themselves are, in the 90s and 00s, the most convinced adepts of this Internationalism and this pro-Corruption, pro-Neo-Imperialism Ideology (which finds our new Cambodia a strategic base, and a first class [location] for exploitation (of forests, lands, waters)).
Thomico is only thinking about the Popularity of N. Sihanouk by deciding to make his party an adept of the SRN which his Khmer Republic had assassinated.
The SRN is dead. It must not be resuscitated.
One can only praise the SRN, and provide justice to it as H.E. Samdech Chea Sim, H.E. Samdech Heng Samrin, and the CPP had the great kindness to do.
However, it is not reasonable to try to imitate it (the SRN).

Prince Thomico's party is a potential party that will defeat CPP.
Samdach Euv does this to make prince Thomico well khnown among Khmer and also he want to tell the CPP that his is not with the new party.
