1- This morning, at 08:07 AM, TV5 showed the “notorious” K. Rouge Chief Ta Mok dead, “lying” on his bed, and with peace of the “righteous.” His family, well-dressed women are most likely organizing a Buddhist ceremony. It should be said that the other “notorious” K. Rouge Chiefs, in Pailin and elsewhere, ostensibly “adopt” Buddhism which, under their reign and that of Pol Pot, they have assassinated and humiliated, monks had to sustain the worst punishments, and the pagodas were transformed into … pigpens!
2- Recently, a very, very important Buddhist Holiness said (according to the important French-, US-language media) that it is very good to leave intact, without cremation, without transferring into stupas, the skulls, the skeletons and other bones of the Victims of Pol Pot’s followers. And that it is well to continue to expose them in public.

3- Funny Cuban-Algerian-French Story. Following the sequences of Ta Mok’s death, TV5 presented a sensational sequence: the illustrious Cuban President, H.E. Fidel Castro, who in the middle of a “conference” with a lot of people, spontaneously acted as the defender of Mr. Zinedine Zidane, by condemning the FIFA decision to inflict a sanction against this “Algerian” (sic) (i.e., “Zizou” of the … French team.)

Translator’s note: On Thursday, July 20, 2006, the Cambodia Daily newspaper, in an article titled: “Retired King: Cremate Bones of KR Victims”, reported among others:
Tep Vong, patriarch of the Mahanikaya Buddhist sect, said he, too, did not disapprove of displaying the bones of the dead, and that the practice was in fact a form of respect.
"Displaying the bones and skulls is showing our respect" he said, adding that the remains were well cared for at Choeung Ek.
