Thai police on Wednesday seized 8 kg of heroin in Bangkok that they believe was trafficked from Cambodia, The Associated Press reported Thursday. Police arrested two men from Hong Kong at an apartment as they were allegedly packing the $420,000 worth of the drug into 730 pellets of 5.4 grams each, which they were to smuggle onto a flight to Hong Kong, AP said. The report did not specify how the drugs had left Cambodia. Lour Ramin, secretary-general of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, said he was unable to confirm the report "We rarely deny this but we need Thai authorities to show us a confession from the drug smugglers first," he said.
