Police dispersed some 50 land-dispute protesters from in front of Prime Minister Hun Sen's Phnom Penh residence on Thursday morning, less than 10 minutes after they arrived. Cheun Ny, representative of the families from Battambang province's Bavel district, said this was the third time since 2005 that residents had come to Phnom Penh because local authorities have not implemented an order by Hun Sen to resolve their land dispute. "[This is] no place for you to relieve yourselves and cook," Daun Penh district Deputy Governor Seng Sovannara, told the protesters as he ordered police to disperse them.
