Vietnamese and Cambodian NA leaders hold talks

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin expressed satisfaction at the development in the two countries' friendly relations during their talks in Hanoi on July 7.
The two leaders discussed the political, economic and social situation in their countries and the operations of their National Assemblies. They discussed measures to improve their relations further.
On behalf of the National Assembly, the Government and the people of Cambodia, NA Chairman Heng Samrin expressed his deep gratitude to Vietnam for its assistance to Cambodia in the past and during its current national construction and development.
Chairman Heng Samrin congratulated the Communist Party of Vietnam on the success of its 10th Congress and the ninth session of the Vietnamese National Assembly as well as the achievements of Vietnam during the renovation process. He said he believed that Vietnam would continue its achievements in future years.
Chairman Trong agreed with Chairman Heng Samrin's idea on the need to improve the friendly and co-operative relations between the two National Assemblies in the coming period.
The two leaders agreed on the need to maintain an exchange of visits by the NA leaders and NA committees of the two countries. This would help to promote mutual understanding, strengthen and develop the countries' friendship and allow them to exchange experiences, and co-operate in drafting laws and other areas including culture, education, economy and commerce.
The two sides would organise seminars on matters of common concern to assist in this process, they said.
The leaders noted that in addition to promoting political relations, the two countries should also co-operate in other fields such as education and training, energy, transport and communication, healthcare and tourism.
The two leaders praised the Joint Committee for Land Border Demarcation's agreement, under which the landmark planting will begin in September 2006 and be completed by the end of 2008, so as to realise the goal of building a peaceful borderline between the two countries.
Chairman Heng Samrin invited Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong to visit Cambodia and his invitation was accepted by the Chairman with pleasure. (VNA)

It never fail to amaze me time and time again that every stupid Cambodian leader especially the CPP clan always go to Vietname to thank the Vietcong! Come to think about it, it is very expensive to make a trip to Hanio by plane you know. Why can all these bastard thank the Vietcong from Cambodia with their loud speaker!
