Fronts of Vietnam and Cambodia further co-operation
The two largest mass organisations of Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to stimulate civic organisations and people to effectively implement co-operation programmes in all fields, especially economics, culture, science, education, health care and the environment.
This agreement was made in Hanoi on August 2 in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by Vice President and Secretary General Huynh Dam of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and his counterpart Min Khin of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodian Motherland (NCSF).
Under the MoU, people in provinces sharing the border line will co-operate and mutually assist each other, and facilitate the co-operation between these mass organisations and people.
The two sides will also co-operate in personnel training, information exchange, and in other issues of common concern. They also agreed to send each other delegations every year to exchange experiences and information to contribute to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the two nations.
Early, VFF President Pham The Duyet received the NCSF delegation led by its Vice President and Secretary General Min Khin.
Mr Min Khin expressed his hope that the relations between the two fronts would be further boosted. (VNA)
