About 70 villagers protested outside Kompong Chhnang Provincial Court Tuesday demanding the release of four men who had been arrested for allegedly killing and eating a pet dog, a rights worker said.

Im Pha, investigator for the Cambodian Center for Human Rights in Kompong Chhnang, said the villagers from Kompong Tralach district's Longvek commune rallied to demand the release of the four dog eaters.

Investigating Judge In Chanvibol said that the two men who killed the dog were charged with robbery and the two men who cooked the animal were charged with receiving stolen property.

"The dog is property," he said. "So, they stole someone's property."

The four men, who were arrested Monday, will not be released from prison while the investigation is ongoing, In Chanvibol said.

The judge said that the dog's owner, Yaing Yoeun, filed a complaint against the men in July and is seeking $750 in compensation from the men who ate his pet.

Yaing Yoeun could not be reached for comment.

Longvek commune chief Vet Vorn said that the men should not have been arrested, as they killed the animal because it was vicious and they were protecting villagers from being attacked.

Not to worry, it just means that Cambodia is completely Vietnamized when there are no more dogs! SOB Viets!

Oh, ne vous souciez pas, il veut simplement dire que le Cambodge est completement vietnamise s'il n'y aura plus de chiens ou chiennes. Fils de pute Viets!
