There are signs of turbulences that are currently shaking Funcinpec, six of the seven members (1) grouped under the “Fidelity Committee” are sending a call to their president, who is staying abroad since March, in a letter dated yesterday. The letter calls for the latter to urgently return to the country in order to put order into the (Funcinpec) house. “Faced with the current damaged state within the Funcinpec, the division of its leaders into selfish and predator-like factions, and the feeling of abandon by our militants and our local sections, we, the Fidelity Committee, ask HRH Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh, Preah President of Funcinpec, to return ASAP (as soon as possible) to the national territory in order to turn back Funcinpec into a functioning state, to rally around himself the royalists and nationalists inside and outside of Funcinpec, in view of the next election,” the committee’s letter stated.
Serey Kosal, the special advisor to Prince Ranariddh, supported this initiative which he claims to be one of the precursors. “I thank these personalities who are the wise men of the party, for writing to Norodom Ranariddh. The presence of the prince is important for the relationships between the two coalition partners. If the leaders of the two parties do not agree with each other, that’s not an alliance,” he declared before revealing that Prince Ranariddh could return back in the next few days. “I am currently preparing the schedule of his return. I will do all I can so he will return back on Friday or Saturday,” he added.
Deprived of its president in the last five months, divided into rival factions according to confessions made by its members, Funcinpec sent the most contradictory messages to its militants in the last few weeks. Several days ago, Ok Socheat, an advisor and a close confidant of Ranariddh, reported the idea of his president wanting to form a new alliance with the SRP. However, on August 2, Nhiek Bun Chhay, the secretary-general of the party, at his return from Malaysia where he went to meet the prince, assured that there is no project of this kind that was ever raised. Then on August 4, it was Prince Ranariddh’s turn to deny by himself and in writing any project for an alliance, noting that this (alliance) announce reflected only “personal opinions.” He took the opportunity to recall that his party pursued its collaboration with the CPP, “based on the cooperation protocol signed on June 30, 2004,” – a protocol which some Funcinpec members, such as MP Monh Sophan, had previously pronounced as dead following the firing of several royalist ministers and the stepping down of prince Ranariddh from the presidency of the National Assembly in March.
What can be assumed about this latest U-turn? According to an advisor of Ranariddh, it is not probable that Ok Socheat took it on his own, without the support of his president, the initiative to propose an alliance with SRP. According to observers knowledgeable of the Cambodian political life, Prince Ranariddh was “testing,” through the voice of his advisor, the idea of a coalition before making a sharp U-turn when faced with the reluctance expressed both within the Funcinpec and SRP.
Sam Rainsy who did not closed the door to this idea, as opposed to the committee of directors of his party, claims that prince Ranariddh was not talking to him, but to the prime minister instead. “It is a threat directed towards Hun Sen: ‘if you don’t take me back, I pack up and join the SRP.’ This alliance was in fact susceptible of scaring the CPP, it was the last bullet, but it was a rusty bullet. Since the threat did not work, he denied it and makes himself look tiny. I can confirm to you that there will never be, and I stress never, any alliance between the SRP and Funcinpec.”

Why F'cpec members are still believing that Rannarith can help them for making monies again?
-They knew very well that Rannarith was a King of corrupted men on earth. So anywhere they have Rannarith, they can corrupted.
-They knew that Rannarith has no morality on girl. He can steal his minister wife for his, so do other members of the F'cpec. They have the same tast of dog.
-These people are not looking for someone with credibility to be their Leader, because themselve are not credible people, they just want monies and girl.
We, Funcipec members, also need ah Krom Pret return back as soon as possible to Cambodia to solve the bribes he proposed us for the high positions in the government
Let this guy die there in Malaysia or somewhere else not in Cambodia. He is a useless with an animal blood. He has not done any good for Cambodian but himselves and his followers. Don't come back to Cambodia! His innocent supporters need to give their votes to someone else likes Sam Rainsy Party.
I urged all Funcinpec's supporters to support Sam Rainsy Party if you are an honest individual or official, however, if you are the corrupted one. You should go to CPP. Please don't wish Samdech Grom Pret to come back to Cambodia as your leader again. He is the prince of stint!!!
So Ung Hout group, a sell out and traitor!
