The defense lawyer of Heng Pov, the former Phnom Penh police chief and former secretary of state at the Ministry of Interior, said that Heng Pov is still pursuing his action to obtain political asylum. Heng Pov is also ready to fight in court if any country wants to send him back to Cambodia.
On Friday 25 August, David Chen, Heng Pov’s lawyer, said by phone that Heng Pov is planning to issue more statements through news media to protest against the accusations made on him by the government. Heng Pov is also planning to publish important proofs related to the criminal acts perpetrated by senior leaders of Cambodia.
According to the report published by the Cambodia Daily, David Chen said that among the proofs (that Heng Pov is about to release), some are located in Switzerland and some are France. Among those proofs are recorded voice on tapes, and financial statement supporting the accusations made by Heng Pov on those corruption and killings.
Government spokesman denied the allegations made by Heng Pov. The spokesman claimed these allegations are the fruit of the imagination of a desperate man who is willing to do anything as his last resort.

Damage control time?
*Rumors*! While there is nothing to worry about locally (In Cambodia), it appears that Hanoi, HUN SEN's master, has been scrambling to joyfully do some damage control to put this so-called "annoying and insignificant" event behind. They look at it as something "to keep the outside world preoccupied" while they are TIGHTENNING their screw and controlling their dog (HUN SEN) a bit more closely.
From Sidney, to Paris, to Washington D.C, Hanoi has their men...not to worry!

I am too anxious to see the proof what Heng Pov will release soon. Khmer people have been suffering from Ah Hun Sen for so long. We need freedom not communism.

Excuse me, watch your language Khmer people. Hun Sen usually uses nasty languages. Do you want to be like him. ACT civilized manner please, my dear Khmer. Take long deep breathing in and out, close your eyes, moving your tongue up and down and around, and thinks about how to eat good tasty meal or kiss your beloved wife if you have one. If you don't have, kiss man best friend your pet or give a hug your admired mother and say, "I love your mom."
Good on you Heng Pov for your courage to stand up against your former masters. You have brought hope to Cambodia. The international community should do whatever ossible to support you. Heng Pov,make sure that you protect yourself, because Hun Sen is not going to give up without a fight. Probably he has already sent his men to hunt you down whereever you are and to kill you. He won't stop until he has shut you up.
