Prime minister Hun Sen is appealing to the population not to trust any political leader whom he accuses of not staying with their constituents when faced with problems.
In a speech given this past Wednesday during an inauguration in Sihanoukville, the prime minister did not reveal the name of the political leader in question, he only said that this politician is only good at boasting.
Prime minister Hun Sen said: “Some can only talk, when there is a problem, they run away as fast as possible. This kind of leader, how can you trust them? To be a political leader, you have to stick with your constituents in good time and in bad time.”
Prince Ranariddh is an absent political leader
Currently, the only political party leader who is absent when his party officials are facing removal from their government positions is Prince Norodom Ranariddh.
However, some justified the absence of the prince by claiming that he is busy teaching in France.
On Thursday, General Nhiek Bun Chhay, Funcinpec secretary-general, said that during the meeting with party officials in Malaysia, the prince said that he will return back to Cambodia, however, it is not yet known when this return will happen.
Nhiek Bun Chhay said: “The prince [Norodom Ranariddh] said that he will return to Cambodia in the near future, however, the date is not fixed yet. The prince leaves the party leaders to discuss among themselves a number of issues and report them back to him. Right now, meetings are being held [to discuss] these issues.”
The absence of Prince Norodom Ranariddh raises suspicions from all political quarters which worry that the royalist party will have to suffer more changes in the future.

Allow me to digest my position the distinction as for the reasons why you, Rannaridh, and Sam Rainsy ran away from the people/consituents and the country.
1) 1976 - 1978 a) You knew that the Vietminh/Viet Cong were hidden inside Cambodia and slaughtered innocent Khmer people b) Pot Pot found out that you and your cronies were wearing two faces and you were afraid that Pol Pot would do something to you c) afraid of getting caught and get execution, you and your cronies had to run to Hanoi and beseeched for your life from Ah Yuon d)having gotten sympathized and recognition from Ah Yuon, you had asked Ah Yuon to come and killed more innocent Khmper people and rapped Srok Khmer.
So you tell me, wasn't that the main reason why you and your cronies ran away because you and and your cronies afraided from getting persecution by the Khmer Rouge? Why didn't you stay?
2) a) Rannaridh had his own agenda, CORRUPTION, that is all he had learned in his law school - CHOM NAON BARANG CHIES SES CHHEUR! b) He kept going to France not because he had teaching schedule BUT BECAUSE HE HAD TO TAKE SOME TIME TO CONTEMPLATE ON WHAT TO DO WITH HIS MONY, c) He has too many pussies - one is in Malaysia, etc.
3) a)Sam Rainsy having had long thought about how to help save Khmer and the country - had to quit his job, sold his properties, pooled all his resources and started democratic political party, Sam Rainsy Party (formerly Khmer Nation Party), b)because of his popularity and his enormous support from the people as well as the international community, Rannarihd had to twisted Sam Rainsy's arms, not once but twice, c) 1997 - Sam Rainsy and his supportors held peaceful demontration in front of the Nation Assembly Building - Hun Sen and his cronies deliberately attempted to assassinate Sam Rainsy and his innocent Khmer supporter with several granades attacked, d) Sam Rainsy stayed to assess the situations and did not leave the Cambodia until a week later e) Sam Rainsy left the Cambodia because Hun Sen committed murdered on some of his supporters and Sam Rainsy had to leave Cambodia temporarily to assess the situations and to plan for the next political nameuver f) when he was abroad, Sam Rainsy did not waste any minute of his time - he rallied all the Khmer living abroad as well as the international community to support to fight against the dictator government and to save innocent Khmer people and the country from Ah Yuon
My reasons as to why Sam Rainsy had to seek refuge in abroad was more justified, fair, and noble for Khmer and Cambodia then your Ass reasons!
YOU DON'T NEED TO LOOK FAR TO FIND THE REASONS AS TO WHY ANYBODY HAD TO SEEK REFUGE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY -JUST LOOK AT YOUR FORMER CRONY, HENG POV.
