Interpol Friday issues a red alert for former Phnom Penh Police Commissioner, Heng Pov, on charges of suspected involvement with a number of crimes, alleges Cambodia National Police Commissioner Hok Lundi.
Mr. Heng Pov was Ministry of Interior under Secretary of State, and Prime Minister Hun Sen's adviser was charged by Phnom Penh Municipal Court on July 28, with 4 serious crimes, including judge Sok Sethamony's murder, after being removed from his positions.
Police authorities say that Mr. Heng Pov fled to Singapore before court's summon at the end of July. So far, he has not been apprehended.
Nonetheless Cambodia National Police Commissioner Hok Lundi says that Mr. Heng Pov is unlikely able to hide.
Mr. Hok Lundi cannot confirm Mr. Heng Pov's whereabout, but that the Singaporian police has not informed him about anything yet.
Brigadier General Keo Vanthan, first deputy director of Cambodia Interpol office in Phnom Penh, says that he believes that Mr. Heng Pov is still in Singapore.
Brigadier General Keo Vanthan says that the Cambodia interpol has asked the international police to cooperate in Mr. Heng Pov' arrest.
Cambodia does not have an extradition agareement with Singapore and other countries.
Executive director of the Cambodian Defenders Project and law lecturer Sok Sam Oeun says that these countries might face difficult decisions in refusing Cambodia's appeals.

If Hun San is serious about fighting corruption, when this clown is caught, put a tatoo on his face with the word "corruption"; and punishable by death to anyone who removes it.
I know Hun San & Hok Lundi are nervous that this clown may expose their secrets so they can just cut off his tongue so he can't talk and cut off his hands so he can't write instead of killing him right away.
Heng Peou is possibly already dead. His swinging alliance from one faction to another within in the CPP endeared him to one one, and afforded him to no protection from anyone.
I believe that Heng Pov must find a lawyer now and refer his problem with hun sen and Hok lundy to international court for his own protection and blash out all his knowledges about Hun Sen and Hok Lundy criminals activities. Otherwise he will be a death duck for nothing!!!!!!!
Come on now! Heng Pov is part of AH HUN SEN family! Now why would AH HUN SEN want to kill his family for? To impress the world?
I tell you what! When everything is said and done and Heng Pov will be welcome back into the fold!ahah
