One senior Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) official claims that the call made by Prince Norodom Ranariddh to have SRP enter into a new alliance, may not see the daylight.
Meng Rita, SRP secretary-general, said yesterday that at a meeting of senior SRP officials gathered to ask their opinions [on the potential alliance], many party members do not want the SRP to participate in the Alliance of Nationalists as raised by the Funcinpec party.
Meng Rita said: “Maybe, it cannot be formed because all members of the leading committee have the same view: they said it was too late. A formation [of the alliance] should have been done in 1998 or in 2003, but not now. Furthermore, the traitor to the Alliance of Democrats is no other than Prince Ranariddh who cheated our party many times already. Therefore, it is impossible for them (SRP leading committee members) to participate because (1) it (Funcinpec) has betrayed our party many times already, and (2) Funcinpec has almost disappeared already whereas our SRP has moved far ahead already, therefore, the participation [in the alliance] has no equitable proportion.”

To SRP Central Committee,
Khmer people at abroad (Australia) so happy that now you have realized (woke up) that this Funcipec cheated SRP. They not only betrayed SRP party many times in the past, they have betrayed those who have sacrificed their life from the 80's to now. They are the one that mainly responsible for the impoverished of our beloved country – many of Funcipec MPs and its leader (ie. Narraridth) are corrupted and inability (like Hun Sen said many of them are butchers).
I think Mr. Sam Rainsy should not fall into this trap again and again…and he should remember how many times Khmer people; especially, his supporters in overseas have asked or warmed him not to alliance with Narraridth. Otherwise, he will lose many, many supporters as well.

If Rainsy joins with Ranaridh again, he must be losing his mind. Please stay away from that crazy prince.
