Obituary: Famous comic Actor Loto passed away

Famous midget comic actor Loto whose real name is Suon Bou, passed away after fighting ravaging disease in the last five years. He passed away at 7:10 PM on August 7, 2006, at his home located in Russey village, Sangkat Stung Mean Chey, Khan Mean Chey.

Loto was a famous comic actor during the Sangkum Reastr Niyum era, featuring in many well known films of the time. He survived the Khmer Rouge regime. More recently, he appeared in Matt Dillon’s film “City of Ghosts” which was shot mainly in Cambodia, acting as a club owner.

He is survived by many children and grandchildren, none of whom are midget.
