At a party congress held in the USA on Saturday, Sam Rainsy, opposition leader, warned SRP members not to get involved with the Cambodian government plan to arrest [Heng Pov], the former Phnom Penh police chief, saying that this is an internal affair of the CPP.
Sam Rainsy who is participating at the party congress held in Florida, USA, said yesterday: “SRP is only following the situation like everybody else, this is because it’s an internal CPP affair. Mr. Heng Pov is a member of the CPP, therefore, in the accusations and counter-accusations, the SRP does not take anybody’s side, does not say who is better than the other. Regarding the criminal affairs such as the accusations on the killing of innocent people, the traffic of drugs, they are the fight of the bullies, in this case, we should not get involved with it, we should only act as observers.”
The opposition leader added: “The Sam Rainsy Party is calling on all friendly governments, on the UN, on organizations who truly want to help Cambodia, to weigh the information provided by Mr. Heng Pov to judge whether what Mr. Heng Pov said is true or not, if it is true, how true is it?”
During the party congress which took place on 26-27 August, the SRP leader also called on his party members to prepare themselves to participate in the commune election, he also called on his party members to donate help to the recent flood victims in Cambodia.

There goes how conscionable Raingsy is?Self serving superceed matters that involved innocents yet Raingsy new attitude side effect is forewarning members not to involve.This is as good as his tongue flexes.

If KI content was not mistakenly printed, so why would SRP absolutely necessary have to hold the Party congress in USA? Or Will SRP hold another party congress in Cambodia. People like me in USA can only support SRP financially and politically, but people in Cambodia give their votes. SO BE CAREFUL. Sometimes, you become a victim of your own creation.
SRP has a good point....why should you stick your fingers into aligator mouths when you know it's none of your business....only get us into biger trouble. CPP is a trouble maker anway.
It would be better to let the CCP kill themselves each other.
If the congress party is held in USA because Samrainsyparty need to collect money to help poor Cambodians and to prepare the next election. Wait and see.
