King Norodom SihamoniPRAGUE, Czech Republic (AP) - The municipal assembly in the Czech capital voted Thursday to give honorary citizenship of Prague to Cambodia's king Norodom Sihamoni, an official said.
An overwhelming majority in the 70-seat assembly voted to award Sihamoni the citizenship, before his state visit to the Czech Republic scheduled for next week, Prague City Hall spokesman Jiri Wolf said.
The assembly awarded Sihamoni, who lived in Prague in the 1960s and 1970s, citizenship to show Prague holds him in esteem and to appreciate what he has done for the Czech capital's international reputation and for the development of friendly relations between Cambodia and the Czech Republic, a statement released by the City Hall said.
Prague mayor Pavel Bem will bestow the honor on Sihamoni at a ceremony at City Hall on Sept 20, Wolf said.
During his weeklong visit that begins Monday, Sihamoni was to meet President Vaclav Klaus, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek and other Czech leaders.

We need someone that could measure up to Queen Rania of Jordan or perhap our very own striking star and a heart of gold for world Humanitarian needed of Ms. Angelina Jolie.
Please don't forget that Ms. Jolie is no longer or may not be a perfect Princess for the King, but she has our citizenship and someone that could bring our Kingdom hope and wealth. Ms. Jolie would difenitely put us back into the radar screen of world attention. She could pull millions of tourists to Cambodia should she becomes Queen consort to his Majesty Sihamony. She may not be perfect, of course because she was a commonner and she divorced a couple times. She and the trouble betweeen Brad Pitt and his wife, but I still love and admire Ms. Jolie a great deal for her Beautiful Angel's heart.
Queen Rania of Jordan had just received an honorary Board of Director of The United Nation Foundation.
Can our own Cambodian woman or Princess measure up to this two magnificant ladies' standard? or doesn't it mean anything to us or His Majesty?
Ms. Jolie if you read this article, I hope that you will consider making " Little Shilo, Sahara Jolie and our little Prince Maddox" a perfect union with their Dad by having a wedding ceremony at our beloved Angkor Watt as well as yours in the near future.

Honestly I do like King SIHANOMI and appreciate for his calmness under the storms. So far he is good king and is not like his predeccessor, you know to whom I meant. As years progress,I hope, the King will grow more mature/wisdom to deal with toughest and controversial issues facing the nation.

I admit that Sihamoni is a calm king may be good. But, like his father and ancestors , he didn't hesitate to give our land to Yuon in order to save their family.
BUT FOR HOW LONG? BEFORE YUON ANNEXE CAMBODIA AND DISTROY ROYAL FAMILY as they had distroyed LAO ROYAL FAMILY.

Sihamoni is not like a real Cambodian if we look at he way he talks ,he behaves , he communicates within his family, and his sexcual preference.
He deserves to get another natoinality other than KHMER.
Well since his maternal grandfather was European, Sihanouk is biologically "Eurosian". I wish he would marry a princess or a woman of nobility from Praque.

Please make us proud by choose the right person to marry. No Youn and No Siam woman,please. Khmers, Praque or Czech , European, American and French woman are pretty acceptable. Right now, you are the most eligible Baschelor in Asia. Please don't count yourself short. Althought, we love our own Khmer woman, but American woman is fine. Want to know why? because almost half of us that left over from death during Pol Pot era are now American and we are American and Khmers.
