A high-ranking FUNCINPEC official on Tuesday denies the rumor about the attempt to depose Prince Norodom Ranariddh.
FUNCINPEC secretary general Nhek Bun Chhay says that the rumor is created to divide the party. On Monday, a number of Funcinpec members who spoke on conditions of anonymity, claimed that a movement, led by Nhek Bun Chhay seek to remove the Prince.
Those officials say Mr. Nhek Bun Chhay led a secret meeting with some 20 communal and provincial Funcinpec party members at the Funcinpec's headquarters in Phnom Penh. They claimed those attended the meeting had decided to make a written motion to get the members' vote to remove Prince Ranariddh from his position as the president of the party.
Nhek Bun Chhay dismisses these charges saying there was no meeting, and no movement to remove the Prince.
Prince Ranariddh's adviser, Mr. Ok Socheat also denies these charges.
Government spokesman, Mr. Khieu Kanharith says that whatever FUNCINPEC does is its party internal affair. However he says that he prefers to see the party solves their problems peacefully without having to topple its president.

Who care wit the prince Narariddh any more? His supporters just want his name in the news either bad or good news about him. Don't try to make nothing as a news.

Rannarith, you are just a scum bag; so called Royal ass needed to stay quite, and let the real people of Cambodia decide their own fate. You and your ancestors (ex. Norodom and Sisowath) kept loosing our Cambodian land for all those recent years. You, your father, and your family are ONLY worry about your strone, your palace and power; did not care about cambodian heritage nor land. We, Cambodian, should be under the protection of the French Government not under the stupid king....

It sounds like your people the above, are belonging to the dictator, corrupt man, and communist vietnamese brainwashed Hun Sen who is selling Cambodian territory to Vietnam, Thailand...Are you people blind and keep your mouth shut up from talking about your animal Hun Sen's criminalities and dictatorship in our Cambodia. It won't be too long you will have no land to live and then you will be a very cheepest slave of your master communist Vietnam.
