Cambodia asks ADB to grant some 100 mln USD of aid
The Cambodian government has requested about 82.8 million U.S. dollars of aid and some 20 million U.S. dollars of grant aid from ADB (Asia Development Bank) for national development, local media said on Wednesday.
The aid is planned to help develop 4 projects in sectors of public administrative reform, infrastructure development and transportation, electricity power distribution and restoration of railways.
This request was brought up by Hang Chan Narong, secretary general at Ministry of Economy and Finance while he met recently with an ADB delegation.
According to a report from the ministry, from 1993 to 2006, ADB has offered to the kingdom about 846 million U.S. dollars of loan, about 42 million U.S. dollars of grant aid and about 86 million U. S. dollars of technical aid.
