Thailand's interim Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont will make a one-day trip to Cambodia on Sunday to meet with Prime Minister Hun Sen, Kim Sok Vath, Council of Ministers deputy director general, said Wednesday. Surayud Chulanont—who was installed Oct 1 by Thailand's military council after a September bloodless coup ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra—and Hun Sen will meet at 9 am at the Council of Ministers, he said. "It is normal for a new leader to make a tour of introduction," said Minister of Information and government spokesman Khieu Kanharith. Hun Sen last week gave his blessing to the new Thai government, saying that the coup had not affected relations between Cambodia and Thailand.
