Cheo Ung-Chon scored a goal in each half to help defending champions Khemara to a thrilling 5-4 victory over Phnom Penh in the Cambodian Premier League final on Saturday.
Phnom Penh took the lead twice but a leaky defence allowed Khemara to climb back into the match and take the title for a second successive year before a frenzied 10,000 crowd at the country's optimistically-named Olympic stadium.
Phnom Penh, who played as Hello United last season, went two up inside the first 15 minutes before Khemara pulled back three goals in seven minutes, including a long-range effort from Cheo.
Fifteen minutes after the break, Phnom Penh levelled the score before restoring their advantage on 75 minutes.
With Phnom Penh on course for the title, Khemara launched an amazing fightback inside the last 15 minutes.
Cheo made it 4-4 with a close-range header before Brazilian Douglas Dos Santos sealed victory with a goal.
Phnom Penh coach Prak Sovannara said poor goalkeeping had cost his side the title and the $3,000 prize money.
"My goalkeeper is young and inexperienced," he said. "I hope he will improve with more training."
