On Satuday 21 Oct, Prince Norodom Ranariddh asked Chea Sim to suspend or cancel the cooperation agreement for the formation of the joint government between the CPP and Funcinpec.
In his position as the president of Funcinpec and as the signatory to the bilateral cooperation agreement, Prince Ranariddh sent a letter to Chea Sim, CPP party president, claiming that the he was illegally removed from his position by the 18 Oct extraordinary congress.
While he is waiting for the decision by the Ministry of Interior, following a claim he sent to the ministry to ask for help in resolving this issue for him, the prince had also asked for Chea Sim, the other signatory of the cooperation agreement for the formation of the current government, to suspend or cancel this agreement.
Prince Ranariddh said that he will not be responsible on the problems or the lack of success resulting from the application of the government policies. There is no reaction yet from Chea Sim or from the CPP on this request for agreement suspension or cancellation.
On Saturday, Prince Ranariddh also nominated Serei Kosal to become his special representative on a number of issues in order to facilitate the general working relation under the present condition.

Ranariddh is desperate but still living in the dream world. He should know by now that both Chea Sim and Sar Kheng could not do anything without Hun Sen's approval. Chea Sim got his butt kicked once by Hun Sen and spend a bit of time in Thailand with Hok Lundy when he refused to sign a controversial Royal Decree, after Sihanouk had successfully avoided signing it. Of course, the job was left to H.E. Hun-Sens-butt-kissing Nhiek Bun Chhay, who was not even empowered to sign the Royal Decree as the First Deputy President of the Senate.
It's about time Ranariddh took a break and reviewed all his past mistakes, corruption and incompetence. It is absurb that he does not seem to realise he has got into this mess now because of his countless faults. In the 21st century world he will have to earn his respect, he was not born with it.
