Thai PM pledges closer ties, cooperation with Cambodia [- Hun Sen willing to allow new committee for solving border problems]

PHNOM PENH, Oct 15 (TNA) – Thailand's Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont on Sunday held talks with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen and pledged to strengthen ties as well as cooperating with Cambodia in every field.

Yongyuth Mayalarp, spokesman of the Thai government, told journalists that the prime minister informed Mr. Hun Sen about the political situation in Thailand and pledged that his interim government would continue the previous government's policy of economic cooperation with the Phnom Penh government.

Gen. Surayud pledged that his government would continue cooperation with Phnom Penh on responding to the challenge of avian influenza (bird flu), continue working together in the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) and to continue negotiating regarding certain border areas which overlap between the two neighbour countries.

Hun Sen, according to Mr. Yongyuth, was willing to allow the Thai government to change working committee members responsible for solving the border problem as he was keen to explore for oil in the disputed area as global oil price kept on rising.

Gen. Surayud said that in his opinion the problem of overlapping border areas must be solved jointly by the two countries because it would benefit both countries. He said he had assigned Foreign Minister Nitya Pibulsonggram to act on behalf of the Thai government in meeting with appropriate Cambodian officials to find ways to resolve the issue.

Mr. Yongyuth said that the Cambodian premier proposed a meeting between Thai, Lao and Cambodian government leaders to be held on joint development of the so-called Emerald Triangle Cooperation Framework, designed for developing tourism resources and promote tourism among participating countries.

Mr. Hun Sen reportedly told Gen. Surayud that only ministerial meetings on the issue had been held in the past. The Thai leader promised to reopen the discussions in China.

Gen. Surayud, who yesterday made his first foreign visit to Laos since assuming the premiership two weeks ago, also met Cambodian Parliament President Heng Samrin and Senate Speaker Chea Sim, before returning home.

The Thai PM is scheduled to travel to China later this month to mark the 15th anniversary of relations between China and the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The Thai can speak of how close they want to be with AH HUN SEN and I don't give a fuck!

The Thai and the Viet are no different. The Thai only want to Cambodia to drop their pants for best result!aahahahahahahhaha!

If any Cambodian had been observing carefully especially with the Thai business investments in Cambodia, these Thai business investments are more like Mafia style investments for quick profit and total buy out to gain monopoly!

The Thai like to do business in Cambodia base on unscrupulous business contracts! The Thai like to come up with their own contract and make Cambodian businessmen agree to everything in the contract even though some of the things are unfair to Cambodian businesses. The worst part of it all is that the business contracts are written in English and Thai jargon language to confuse Cambodian people! The fucken Thai will add all kind of clauses in the business cntract to void any business deal especially if the Thai didn't get their way! The Thai will use the Thai court to deal with any Cambodian business problems! ahahahahah! Talking about double standard!

Now that Thailand has a Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont who can speak Khmer and I suggest from now on any fucken business deal between Cambodia and Thailand must be written in Khmer, English, and Thai languages! Khmer people need to understand what the fuck in the business contract too because not every Cambodian people can speak or read Thai or English!

To all those Cambodian people who want to do business with the Thai and this should be a warning to all of you! It take only a tiny mistake to void everything in the contract and you lose everything in Thai court!

The Thai will never keep their part of the bargain as always!

The Gentleman above's advice could be very well accurated. We have to becareful as always as any business that we would do, but
we should also have to study the prime existence of Mr. Surayud.

This man is here today, because of The Thai royal family or King Bhumibol. am I right? He seems like no Mr. Thacksin " The Crook ".
From what I understand King Bhumibol is a good King. He loves peace, music, art, languages and people in general. Most noticable is his love for his own people. He did that for over 60 years and counting. Does he tell us any thought or consideration that we should have the same level of comfort? May be? may be not? It would be foolish to think and expect the same as Thai people.

One little thing that caught my mind, Thais are also Buddhis. A good Buddhis just like us.

Business men usually are a profit making. That is how the business will survive. Making a business deal requires seriuos lawyer and legal people involved and zero exception. It would be a grave mistake that Mr. Hun Sen alone thinks, he could get this guy to catering to his every whimp or able to avoid unseen trouble in the future.

I feel bad for the young Thai Princess that Thai Royalty family proposed her marriage between King Sihanouk and he said no. Instead His majesty went fooling around with a half of dozen women from just about every place he visited and discredit himself to the bone( Princess Arun Rasmey is the offspring of a Laosian women, Sihanouk met in Vientain).

As far as our observation goes, The young Thai princess went to live in Switzeland and disappeared from the face of the Earth forever.

We Khmers are not like European, who will marry their own neighbors or trust their neighbors and create royalty connection or family connection all over Europe and do you know why right? Ah Youn and King Chey Chedtha "2" riuned it. They and their expansion colonization sh..!

Please remember that making friend is always better than making the enermy. As long as the Thai sees the same and respect that boder line. We should be alright. We Khmers are straight, honest and fine people. Yes,it's extremely hard to find other people that match our standard. Many times, we rather stand alone better than taking up or be with people that we don't like or trust.

We also need to pay attention to all of the people ocuppying ourland. You do know very well why they are there? or don't you? Please follow your own observation and you will see why This new Thai PM has strong desire to be closed to us or at least to maintain peace for now.

Please be more politic and more internationalism.
We all knew all the faults made by all our predecessors on our territorial integrity. But we must learn how to work with all our neighbours for this 21 century. We cannot put a big wall all the time with them. In today leadership, we must learn how to make friendship rather to make enemy. we must learn how to sort out different by peacefull means. Look at China. Chinese has been invaded and were controled by Manchuries since 1644-1911. Now China have over ran Machuries instead.
