Will New Australian Embassy Turn Out As Good Neighbor?

Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Letter to the Editor
The Cambodia Daily

The families of Group 78 want to know what kind of neighbor the Australian Embassy will be. The new embassy will be next door to our homes, next to where our children play and our families chat. Will the embassy join us as a good neighbor, or will it wait until all the poor people are evicted from our neighborhood before it moves in? We hope we can live in harmony—poor people and rich people together.

We do not have any bauxite or gold to mine, but we have many families working hard every day to build a good future for our children. We cannot afford to buy land from local tycoon Kith Meng, or to build big cement villas, but we have made good homes that have kept us safe for over 20 years.

Now the government is trying to take our land. We are surrounded on all sides by land that rich people own, but nobody is living on it. Why does City Hall only take our land? And why don't our neighbors help us?

Please, Australian Embassy, do not be afraid to help your poor neighbors in Group 78.

Say Sophal and Lim Sambo,
Representatives of the families of Group 78,
Phnom Penh

I was told that this fake tycoon as killed his brother for all his monies. You want to check story ask his sister in law in Australia. He was born in 1968 so now he is 38 years old. He came into Cambodia in 1990 just before Untac to help his brother business so when he was 22 years old. Can you work out if he has completed his studies in Australia? And at 22 of age where he got all the monies to Cambodia? All from his brother. Check google for his name. If he really killed his brother for monies, how can he has pity to all poor people? Now he is Hun Neng future'son in law. Hok Lundy'daughter in law has separated with Hok Lundy'son for Kith Meng!!! Watch out people who want to do business with this guy!!!!
