The pro-government Cambodian daily Phnom Penh Reaksmei Kampuchea on 9 November carried an article by Konthea saying the FUNCINPEC [National United Front for an Independent, Neutral, Peaceful, and Cooperative Cambodia] Party had decided to expel "Samdech Mohissara Norodom Chakrapong from the party on the basis of the spirit of the meeting held by the party's Permanent Managing Committee on 7 November."
The decision signed by FUNCINPEC Chairman Keo Puth Rasmy said that the party had decided to "expel" Prince Chakrapong, who was now a senator of the sixth region, from the party, the article added. The decision added that the prince would "automatically lose his party membership as well as his senatorial post."
The article also said that Nov Sovathero, state secretary of information and FUNCINPEC spokesman, explained that the reason for ostracizing Prince Chakrapong was that the prince had "shown an attitude of not supporting the 18 October party extraordinary congress and continued to carry out activities against the party." The prince also made known his position "as a member of the Norodom Ranariddh Party." The FUNCINPEC Party did "not allow any member to become member of any another parties."
According to a reliable source, the article said, a few days ago, Prince Chakrapong traveled to "see Prince Norodom Ranariddh in Kuala Lumpur."
As for Keo Puth Rasmy, the article added, he said on 8 November that the FUNCINPEC Party should "reorganize its validity and orderliness" and that "opponents had to be removed from the party." He added that the reason Prince Chakrapong had been expelled from FUNCINPEC was that he was "part of the group that organized the new party of Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh." He also said that this action would continue to be taken if there were "still people who did not want to stay with the party."
Ok Socheat, an adviser to Prince Norodom Ranariddh, stated, the article said, that the ostracism of Prince Chakrapong was "unreasonable and weird" because the prince had been "staying in Bangkok for medical treatment since before the party coup was staged."
Nevertheless, Nov Sovathero said that Prince Chakrapong had "taken part in a meeting in Malaysia with Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh and Prince Sisowath Thomico."
Ok Socheat also said that the Interior Ministry had notified that the Nodorom Ranariddh Party "still could not be formed." It asked, he added, that Samdech Krom Preah "personally confirm" the creation of the party. Therefore, "we will comply," concluded the article.

No problem, Chakrapong is a clever man and he is far better than Ranarith, he can just go to see Hun Sen and remind him of the assistance he had given to the CPP in 1993, money will flow in and perhap Nhek Bun Chai will knee down and begg for forgiveness.
May be he can form another party call Chakropong and all the Chakrapogist will follow him all the way from Hanoi, or may be from the Chinese border
