The closing grace of Water Festival 2006

A woman dances on the head of a wooden boat as her rower looks back to see an approaching boat, on the last day of the three-day annual water festival ceremony on the Tonle Sap River in front of the Royal Palace Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. More than one million people were expected to stream into the capital for the festival that is dedicated to the kingdom's ancestral naval warriors, which are believed to provide vital natural resources including fish to Cambodians. I don't think KI-MEDIA intention is to look down upon our country. I’m NOT speaking on their behalf (KI-MEDIA) but my view of this site is just a great collection of daily news and accounts as it happen in Cambodia from variety of online and printed sources. Not everything on this site is negative. I do see uplifting stories like Somaly Mam who recently received an honorary award 'Women of the Year' by Glamour Magazine.
