PM Adviser's Car Accident Puts Officials To Work

Officials in several government departments are investigating a minor traffic accident Friday night involving Prime Minister Hun Sen's adviser Om Yentieng, officials said. Khmer-language newspaper Chakraval reported Tuesday that Om Yentieng’s car was rear-ended by an unidentified driver at about 8 pm Friday as he was traveling on Phnom Penh's Russian Federation Boulevard. Om Yentieng got out of his car to reprimand the driver of the other vehicle, but retreated when it appeared that the driver reached threateningly into his trouser pocket—possibly for a weapon, Chakraval reported. RCAF General Dom Hak, former head of military intelligence for RCAF infantry and newly appointed deputy director of the Apsara Authority, is leading the top-level investigation. "We are conducting an investigation," said Dom Hak, who is also a member of the government’s newly formed anti-corruption committee. "There are many concerned departments involved in the investigation," he said adding that the departments, which he declined to identify, had no leads yet in the case. Om Yentieng said he was busy in a meeting and declined to comment.

Why they are so care with this animal Om Yintieng? Car accident is a car accident. Who want to get involve with accident? All citizen must be equaled in front of the law. If this animal Om Yintieng is wrong he must pay for a compensation, he shouldn't use his position to intermidate other citizen. Come on Cambodia, you are a long way to catch up other democracy country. People are still living with fears and suppression for only meeting with animal like OM Yintieng!!!
It is a joke of how this government prioritise their tasks, and Cambodian need higher educated and better organized government to run the country, not just a crowd of kindigarten kids.

This VIP treatment for Om Yentieng is designed to warn other road users that if they mess with any high-ranking CPP officials they will have to face the full brunt of the nation's security apparatus. No national expenses will be spared and other less important priorities (such as anti-corruption obligation) will be put on hold to bring the culprits (victims of the accident or not) to CPP-style justice.
This unfortunate motorist must have realised later that he stepped on some powerful toes, so it is wise for him to keep a low profile for a long time. He knows fully well which side the traffic police will take in a traffic dispute with VIPs, who will always be above the law.

Why the driver didn't hit Om Yentieng hard and make him to heaven. Next time don't leave evidence. If you want to get rid off CPP member, just make it a traffic accident and make sure these CPP guys or girls death on the scene. They all deserve it including Hun Sen.

Om Yentieng the head of cambodia's Anti corruption commission is illegally using cambodia resource to suit his needs...this process itself is corrupt....
The drive of the vehicle should've create an "accident" as CPP official always say, "it due to personal dispute, not politically affiliated".
It only an accident yet the amount of police ATTENTION is so great...while past murders of opposition MP and civilian die in vain...yet the CPP officials and police still dont give a shit...get fuck Ah Yentieng.
