Haddad-Adel stresses bolstering of ties with Cambodia

Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel here Monday said that "Look to the East" was a principle in Iranian foreign policy and highlighted the importance Iran attaches to bolstering of ties with Cambodia in all fields.

Haddad-Adel met with the vice-chairman of the Cambodian parliament on the sidelines of the 7th Conference of the Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) General Assembly.

He called on Cambodia to continue its active participation in programs and activities of the AAPP.

The Iranian speaker praised the restoration of peace and stability in Cambodia and hoped the country would achieve greater progress and development in the domestic and international arenas.

The Cambodian official, for his part, appreciated the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly's (Majlis) hosting of the 7th AAPP General Assembly conference.

He praised Iran's contribution to the development and progress of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace.

The AAPP General Assembly session opened in Tehran Sunday and concludes later today.

It was attended by parliament speakers and representatives of 39 Asian member states and 20 non-member states.

I see nothing wrong having tie with Iran. Cambodian people may learn something from Iranian people especially about Nuclear Technology! ahahaahahahah.

Iran try to establish tie with Cambodia is a trick in my opinion. Her goal is to have connection with khmers islam ,and who know what will happen next ? Only time will tell.Don't trust that country. The ayatolla cockmany's.

Your should call Monkey Republic or Kingdom, since your leaders act like monkey or dog in the heat!

I really hate to prejudge anything in life! But if the tie with Iran will bring more economic benefit and new technology and why not! The Muslim in Cambodia haven't done anything dangerous to Cambodia stability! It is the Vietcong who wipe out the Cham muslim from Vietnam and it is the Vietcong who is the one that should be worried!
