FUNCINPEC's secretary general, Nhek Bun Chhay officially files a lawsuit on Thursday against former party leader, Prince Ranariddh for selling the former party's headquarters.
In the lawsuit filed with Phnom Penh Municipal court, Nhek Bun Chhay allegedly asks the court for Prince Norodom Ranariddh to pay over $4 million dollars in compensations and damages.
An official close to Prince Ranariddh appeals to the secretary general, to reconsider his lawsuit decision, because it might have a negative effect on the party's image.
Nhek Bun Chhay claims that Ranariddh single-handedly sold the headquarters, located in Phnom Penh, to Ly Chhoung Construction Company, in 2005 for $3.6 million dollars.
Nov Sovartharo, the new FUNCINPEC's spokesman says that the prince, "viewed the party's headquarter as his own personal property, while the former Phnom Penh's deputy governor, Mam Bun Neang, helped by providing fake documents."
Voice of America has made numerous attempts to contact the court in the regards to the allegation, but our phone calls were not returned.
Meanwhile, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, who is currently in Malaysia, was not available for comments either.

This information is clearly shown that those leaders are taking full advantage from ordinary members for their own interest and this is only one example and I assume the rest are all the same, so all members of those political parties such as the new one that created by Tomico and the Ranarith parties should clearly check out the intergrity of the party and leaders before jumping in the wagon and being used by those leaders who think they are smart. Ofcourse they would say and promise something you want to hear but never get it done apart from just for their own money and power.
In any western world, Rannarith is no longer be able to run a political party for his high profile of corruptions, womaniser and unreliable leader. The interieur ministry must block him from forming a party nor a party member. His political life is completely finished and is very harmfull for people like him to participate political life again.
This is why I have no faith at all to any animal so-called Royalist. This royal are rubbished and are bloodiest sucker. They created only suffering to people and have never sacrificed themselve for people who supported them. Look at 1975, Sihanouk has ordered to kill all national army and all government officials without a regret. He has ordered to kill all educated people just for a revenge. And also please look at China, Hu Jintao can lead China with 1.3 billions people without any problem and is even much prospering than any country in the world. He earn less monies than Cambodia Prime Minister but he is one of the world leader !!!!!!!
This guy (Rannaridh) has no shame selling his party's head quarter. If he were to live in the western world, Rannaridh will be punished by law and won't be able work as a politician. I don't have to say anything about this, everyone knows that he is a jack ass. Who wants him to lead Cambodia? Only those who is a jack ass like him may want him to be in charge. Rannaridh is afraid, like his father, to visit North America, because he is afraid that khmer people here may confront him. One last MESSAGE TO HIM: Enough is Enough!!!! Quit your job !!!
Why AH NECK BUN SHIT was so quiet back then when AH RANNOGOOD sell the FUNSINSEX party headquarter? Why now all of sudden AH NECK BUN SHIT try to bring attention to AH RANNOGOOD corruption when he himself didn't even protest when the fucken corruption were still going in full swing!
I want to ask AH NECK BUN SHIT about his motive and his timing why now sue AH RANNOGOOD for corruption? Are you trying to make yourself look good in public eye?
By the way you look and you don't deserve to be a politician, you are more like a trash digger and now you are digging all the corruption in your own making with AH RANNOGOOD! What else man! You never fail to amaze me!
