Former US President Bill Clinton was scheduled to land at Phnom Penh International Airport at midnight Sunday and meet with Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday morning, officials said. Chea Sokhom, first deputy secretary-general for the Permanent Organizing Commission for National and International Ceremonies, said Clinton would arrive by private jet and travel to Siem Reap after meeting with Hun Sen. Hun Sen has said Clinton's visit relates to HIV/AIDS. "This is a first in Cambodian history that a former US president comes to visit," Chea Sokhom said. Clinton will not receive an official welcome at the airport at the request of US officials, he added. Suong Cheang Ly, director of the Ministry of Interior's bodyguard department, said Cambodian authorities will provide security during the visit.
