He pointed out as example the promise made by Hun Sen to Prince Norodom Ranariddh, but now Hun Sen claims that he can no longer work with the prince. Koul Panha said this promise could be used as a deliberate strategy by Hun Sen to prevent Funcinpec voters and Funcinpec officials from defecting and joining the Norodom Ranariddh Party.

Everyone know the empty promise including Funcipec party. This is a part of political game. win or lose is the norm. In Cambodia, it depends whether you are smart, know how, bend with the wind, and lucky, you get a good job.
