The scheduled deportation to Vietnam of 22 Montagnard asylum seekers denied refugee status by the UN was delayed on Friday morning until next week, the UN refugee agency announced. "It seems to be a delay in the paperwork," UNHCR spokeswoman Deborah Backus said to reporters waiting outside the Tuol Kok district facility. Interior Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Khieu Sopheak said his ministry had already signed the paperwork on the deportation. Long Visalo, the Foreign Ministry secretary of state in charge of the issue, declined to comment.

So much for human organization for helping the Montagnard people to find peace and freedom. The Montagnard will continue to suffer as always and the human right organization will continue to give these Montagnard people with false hope of peace and freedom!
It is so sad that history must repeat itself! Why the human right organization are in Cambodia in the first place when they can't even save the Montagnard people from persecution from the Vietcong government!
Please if the human right organization can't save people life then don't play with people life! Enough is enough already!
I think we, as cambodians should not worry about those montagnards at all , we have so much our own problems already. Push them back to where they were coming from....

Don't be so foolish and self-serving! Why not help another fellow man? Hundred and thousand and million of Cambodian people used to be in the same position before during the 1980 and thank God to the United Nation were able to save some Cambodian people!

Why AH HUN SEN VIETCONG SLAVE GOVERNMENT always object the United Nations to save the Khmer Leu which I don't understand! It is because AH HUN SEN VIETCONG SLAVE GOVERNMENT is just following the order from the Vietcong government! The Khmer Leu escape to Cambodia for help and why not help them! These people need help!

Maybe the Cambodian puppet government will not help for their fear of the Hanoi cong an and because their loyalties lie with Hanoi (and NOT with the Khmer people themselves)...but at least many former special ops and dedicated Americans have now finally paid off a 101 acre farm in North Carolina that has been donated to the Montagnards. Now, if human rights organizations will only let them come to America rather than letting the Phnom Penh government sell the "Yards" back to their Hanoi masters so Hanoi can continue their genocide. The Montagnards now have a new home. It is not their ancestral homeland, but it is a land where they may be free to live and worship as they so chose. People of North Carolina open their arms to these great and wonderful people. Over the years, I have found that the Khmer and the Montagnards are far superior in character than the Vietnamese, by far. It is a shame that the Phnom Penh government has lowered itself to being at the mercy of the Hanoi puppet strings.
