According to:

• Letter No. 1514 S.C.N. dated 28 Nov 2006 issued by the Ministry of Interior regarding the official recognition of the Norodom Ranariddh Party
• Section 15 of the law regarding political parties
• Article 16 of the Funcinpec party internal rules
• Decision of the Funcinpec permanent committee made on 29 Nov 2006

Based on the subject and documents above, I have the honor to inform highly respected Samdech, President of the National Assembly that: Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh had recently formed his new political party which includes the participation of a number of Funcinpec party members and MPs in the leadership role. The authority has officially recognized this new political party, this entails the automatic loss by Prince Norodom Ranariddh and a number of [his party] members, of their membership in Funcinpec starting from now on.

In this regards, Funcinpec is requesting respected Samdech President of the National Assembly, to replace the candidates for MP from Funcinpec as provided in the list below:

1. Mrs. Mat Salima to replace Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh, MP from Kompong Cham,
2. Mr. Soth Sothon to replace H.E. Chhim Siek Leng, MP from Kompong Cham.

As informed and requested above, please respected Samdech President of the National Assembly review and take the necessary action.
