Prime Minister Hun Sen said Saturday that he would like to hold a marriage ceremony Jan 5, the anniversary of his wedding to Bun Rany. "I want to ask my wife [Bun Ranyl to remarry and have wedding music," the prime minister said during a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the second Monivong Bridge. Hun Sen said he came up with the idea to remarry after hearing about 10 couples in Takeo province who were forced to marry during the Khmer Rouge regime but held a ceremony Dec 9 to voluntarily renew their marriage vows. Hun Sen and Bun Rany were married in 1976 when traditional Khmer ceremonies were prohibited and when the regime usually designated spouses.

Hun Sen was forced to marry another woman, he was not with Bun Sam Heang. Hun Sen and Bun Sam Heang were splitted due to Khmer Rouge and they couldn't find each other until Yuon invaded Cambodia.
It is believed that Hun Sen wanted to look good when he knew he'd be leader so went back to his 1st wife Bun Sam Heang was his choice.
Because people knew that Bun Sam Heang and Hun Sen were married around or before 1975.

Sure Hun Sen owned Cambodia while nearly one million Vietnamese troops behind to keep him in power. In Laos is the same. Both Khmer and Loas leaders are being administrated by the Vietnamese. Without the Vietnamese troops supporting them they'd have been gone for a long time. So unfortunate for Cambodia or to any country that the no education and the most brutal are in power. Hun Sen and Bun Samheabg were married ~1975, then they both were scattering due to KR took over, you kniw how families were scattering with no phone to contact with each other. Hun Sen was asked to marry another woman until Vietnam invasion. Hun Sen then reunited with Samheang then left his 2nd wife. Samheang had a 1st child already, don't know who's the father but Hun Sen took the role as the father. The Vietnamese are very arrogant and racist, because they destroyed everything in Cambodia. I don't know what planet are you from. You are completly out of touch with reality. In my village alone ,it is relative against relative.It is cousin that knew other cousin was doing. My brother was a major in khmer air force was killed by my cousin. My teacher friend was killed by his neigbor friend the list can go on and on....and those killers are pure khmers. They are relate .They all are getting killed because they mistakenly return to their own village that they were borned and just to be recognize by those people who happen to get stuck in their village during that war. When i returned home in 1991 one of my boyhood friend told me exactly that had i return home on those day he would have killed me. I had heard of how the Khmer Rouge brainwashed little children or family members to turn their parent,brothers,and sisters in for betraying Angka! This is not a very unusual story! I honestly believe this is not the cause of death among majority of Khmer people! The fucken overworked, diseases, and starvation! No medical services and substandard living condition killed so many Khmer people! The fucken so called hospitals are always overflowed with sick and death people!!!

Yes, Cambodia has gotten better after starting from ground zero. But I think it could be much better with someone better than Hen Sun. The good news is that he is being monitored by the world, so I truly think he wouldn't do anything obvious.
I am sure there are much better, more empathetic and more intelligent political leaders in Cambodia.
The question is--Who would step up to take him down?
NOBODY! Why? Because Hun Sen won't allow that to happen.
I feel hopeless for my country in this aspect, but I am optimistic that things will get better.
